Did he just do a vocal run on "meat falls off the bone?"

I was going to say this was one of the sillier advertisments I'd ever seen, but it is really effective. I can't get it out of my mind, and NOBODY's going to forget the name.

I'm with The Fish... I had this song in my head all yesterday afternoon. A hit!

Also, that guy in the Hummer flipped me off on the way to work today.

Man, I'm going to Oklahoma! Always tender!

I like how the man in the green shirt plays to the camera with his slight "that's not half bad BBQ!" head tilt. This was Jerald Stemmons' greatest acting moment. He shows this ad to friends.

We're doin' the *ribs* tonight.

This is still glorious. And greasy.

5 times in twelve hours. Went to bed singing this to my wife. Sadly, the only refrain that kept coming out was, "Meat falls off the bone."

Look what I found:

He loves his ribs AND his God!
He better have one song about how Adam got Eve, or I'm not buying.

How do you know that's him?
Posted by: Jif | Oct 15, 2007 at 03:38 PM
The medium shot of him singing "meat falls off the bone" -- you can see camjustlisten on his shirt. (I've watched the commercial many, many times.)

A moment of quiet prayer for the 40,000 Oklahomans still without power due to recent winter storms. But, Lord, if Mr. Spriggs is still closed, I just don't want to go on living.
